Robert Taylor attended the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Following his art

as Procter & Gamble, Mattel, Reebok & Disney.

The last 10 years of his design career were spent in Los Angeles, after which he returned to his hometown of
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, for (what was intended to be) a one-year sabbatical (ca. 2000). While on this break
he picked up his paintbrushes for the first time since college.
Mr. Taylor Comments: "To my surprise, I produced enough inventory in nine month's time to warrant a private
showing. My primary objective in showing my work was to gauge response, and, if positive,
perhaps justify future efforts. The show was successful beyond my wildest expectations...
thus began a new career."
"I've been drawing and painting the faces of my favorite musicians, entertainers,
athletes, and political figures since I was a child. It makes sense, therefore, that a
rather large portion of my first professional work would be inspired by this same general theme."
Testimonials
“Robert Taylor is one of those artists who can capture the essence
of a subject with a minimum of brushwork. This cutting to the core
is a talent that cannot be taught, and is what makes his work so great.”
Tony Levin (Recording/touring bassist and longtime
band mate of Peter Gabriel & legendary band King Crimson)
“Robert Taylor makes history come alive with color; he makes history come alive with insight; he is an
intuitive observer of people and events and expresses it all masterfully on canvas.”
