and abstractly captures the emotions and visions of his oceans travels in all its frightening beauty.
Many of the paintings show the edge of the ever-moving sea. One can feel the rhythm, the push and pull
of water, wind, and reflections of light.
“I stand within the edge of transition. Deep, cool, dark, endless, ever so endless. Wind, motion, salt, sand, and reflection.”
Peter is currently working out of a studio in the new GoggleWorks, Center of the Arts in Reading PA. U.S.A. The GoggleWorks is one of the largest art centers of its kind in the nation.
“Stolvoort is a painter who works abstractly by pouring and manipulating liquid acrylics and enamels into effervescent patterns of intermingling color. Appearing somewhat like rippled water in a tide pool or perhaps high altitude clouds during sunset, he tugs at the paint until he reaches a comfortable state of balance” Ron Schira, Reading Eagle
