Painting has been a passion for Ichter ever since he received his
Bachelor of Arts degree from West Georgia College in 1982. Today, his watercolors and pastels
are included in many corporate and private collections. Some of his more well
|
known collectors
include Arthur Anderson and Company, the Federal Reserve Bank of the United States and the
Hospital Corporation of America. Numerous publications have also highlighted Bob's work;
among those are Southwest Arts Magazine, Atlanta Homes, the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the
Eclectic Magazine and Design South. He currently works with pastels on suede at his studio in Atlanta, GA. At one time he owned a
frame shop where he had sometimes used suede mat board for framing. One day while
working on his own artwork, he used a scrap piece of suede mat to clean the pastel off and he
loved how it felt and looked. He has never returned to using anything other than black suede
mat board as his canvas. |
